Lucie Canuel's Intermediate Resources



Mission:

Lucie Canuel's four intermediate resources are contractual resources for the Integrated Center for Health and Social Services (ICHSS). Two are under contract for the CIUSSS center south east of Montreal and two for the ICHSS of the west of the island of Montreal. (ICHSS). These four intermediate resources have a contract with the specialized institutions of the Youth Center. They offer support and assistance services in the context of accommodation for children or adolescents with severe behavioral problems. We have four resources:

  • A group residence in Montreal, Ahuntsic neighborhood, for ten boys aged 6 to 12;
  • A group residence in Montreal, St-Laurent for nine boys aged 14 to 18 (with the possibility of prosecution up to 20 years if in highschool);
  • A group residence in Montreal, Lachine district for nine boys aged 16 to 18 (with the possibility of prosecution up to 20 years if in highschool);
  • A Supervised Apartments resource in Montreal, North-Montreal, for 14 teenagers aged 16 to 18, including a pregnant teenage mother or with her baby (with the possibility of prosecution up to 20 years if in highschool);

 

 

 

 



 

Sexually assaulted by his father
"Younger, it was my secret garden" - a young victim



A 17-year-old girl lived for six years under the yoke of her father, who sexually assaulted her several times.

 

One day, she had had enough of living under his grip and denounced him.

 

The teenager lives in a supervised apartment of the Directorate of Youth Protection (DPJ) since June.
